Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Luke Ameye, Barrister handles personal information collected through this website, consistent with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).

What we collect

If you contact us through the enquiry form, we collect the details you provide — your name, phone number, email address, any information about your charge, and your message. Our hosting provider also records standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) in server logs for security and performance.

How we use it

We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to provide legal services. We do not sell your information or share it for marketing.

Who processes it

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and enquiry submissions are delivered to us by Formspree. Email is handled through Google Workspace. These providers process data on our behalf so we can receive and respond to your message.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used. It is privacy-focused: it does not use cookies and does not track or fingerprint individuals across sites.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Confidentiality: sending an enquiry does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Please don't include sensitive details of your case in the form until we have formally agreed to act for you. If your matter is urgent, call 022 094 2196.

Retention

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and, where relevant, to meet our professional and legal obligations.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. To do so, or for any privacy question, contact [email protected].

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
